Description

As Christians, many of us experience times when we struggle in our faith. Times when we get distracted, like lost sheep, and stray away from the safety of the fold and our faithful Shepherd. Some of us wander for months or even years, backsliding into unbelief and serious sin. Others of us fall into spiritual apathy where our passion for Christ cools and we can’t pray or pick up our Bibles.

But the same grace of the Lord Jesus Christ that saved us can carry us through the Christian life. This book has been written to give you gospel comfort and practical counsel to help you move Godward.

“A hugely encouraging little read”

Using five biblical profiles to help readers understand why Christians wander, Natalie Brand tackles a difficult subject with compassion and honesty. Packed with Christ-centred comfort and encouragement, it's a quick and valuable read.

“A title for every bookshelf”

I sat and read this with a cuppa this afternoon and determined to get a copy into the hands of every family in the church! Given the spiritual battle in which we are involved, it is sadly only a matter of time before someone in the family will need it!

Believers struggling with their faith might turn to their pastor or elder (we hope they do) but the reality is that they will usually withdraw into themselves, tell nobody and slip further away from God. My prayer is that they will reach for this little book and allow it’s honesty and Christ-focus to start the process of restoration.

This is a book that anyone can read and Natalie’s honesty in sharing personal struggles only adds to it’s readability and value.

Highly recommended.

“A helpful read to all who find themselves prone to wander. I would recommend this to a friend.”

As always, Natalie Brand combines an excellent doctrinal approach, with a personal appraisal of her subject, which is eminently readable; especially with this rather delicate subject. I know many a reader will be greatly helped by her gentle yet honest approach. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who finds themselves, for whatever reason, prone to wander. It would be of great comfort to know that one is not alone, and that in itself is often enough to lift one's spirit, and gives the necessary strength to address the reasons behind one's behaviour.
