Many Christian parents are at their wits end about raising their children in a healthy and spiritual way. Increasingly the influence of the world, with it's 'me first' obsession, is causing problems within the Christian home.
This influence can cause Christian families to fall into the four following categories: the disillusioned family; the distracted family; the disciplinarian family; the dedicated family. All end up being influenced more by the culture than by their faith.
Is your family falling into an unhealthy pattern of behaviour? It's time to find out and put things right and World-Proof your Kids can help break the cycle.

I found this book to be a sobering, challenging and yet hopeful juxtaposition of the fruit of the Spirit and the pattern of this world. I would have found it a challenge to my own pattern of living even if I wasn't a parent, but even more so because I am! Whilst never veering from the central truth that it is only the Spirit of God who can produce His fruit in our kids, Tim helpfully develops the Biblical principles by which prayerful Christian parenting can point our kids to the throne of grace whilst also teaching (or rather showing) them God's ways. To some extent, he has also restored my faith in modern psychology and sociology - when it is practiced and applied with godly wisdom and integrity. A really worthwhile read.
I have to say the title of this (with 'kids' in) put me off, but I'm really glad I bought this book anyway and read it. Tim gives some really practical advice and so mcuh biblical backing that it was well worth every penny. As my children grow I become more and more aware of the pressures placed on them in the current world and it is fantastic to have some well researched writing to help me to bring up my children 'in but not of' the world.
