Six weeks of summer - Week 4

The Good Book Company | 12 Aug 2015

Whatever the weather’s like in your part of the world, the summer break is a great opportunity to spend time digging into the Bible as a family. This week we have a creative way to tell the story of Jesus calming the storm.

Tell the story
Tell the story of Jesus calming the storm from Luke 8 v 22-25. Use these ideas from Play through the Bible to help.

Play the story
Make a weather chart—download and print these symbols, or draw your own. Use them each day to predict the weather, or to show what weather you would like to have. You could put on an imaginary weather forecast. Use this as a reminder that even though we know some things about the weather, we’re not in charge of it! But in the story, Jesus was.

(All summer here on The Good Book Blog we’ll be posting great ideas for you to have fun reading the Bible with your kids. See previous post here. Check back next week for another idea.)

If you like this, why not decide to play through the whole Bible as a summer project with your kids? You’ll see how the Bible is really one, true, wonderful story—and make lots of summer fun!
