Introducing our new online bookstall service

How do you or your leaders get Bible-focused books and resources into the hands of your church members, your community or conference delegates?

Traditionally, churches have had a bookstall or table located in their hall run by a willing volunteer. Such churches often have buildings of a design where there is space to do that. And have a long and fruitful heritage of selling books which began in an era where shopping was much more something people went out to do.

But these days new church buildings are very different in design. Gone are the days when all the furniture stays in the same place week on week - the same space is used for Sunday meetings, youth groups, toddler groups and community lets. Young church plants often don't have a building of their own at all - absolutely everything has to be packed away at the end of the Sunday service. And, of course, today an ever-increasing percentage of our buying is done online.

Traditional church bookstalls are facing growing challenges. And with many people moving more from tree books to ebooks it is becoming progressively more difficult for church leaders to encourage people to read.

So, the Good Book Company has recently launched a new service to help.

Our new Online Bookstall Service provides you with your own dedicated webpage, hosted on the Good Book Company site, listing the books that you want to recommended to your people. You simply need to point your congregation to that page where they can click on the books they want to buy. It is easy to set up and maintain, it's easy for your church members to use and you get a cut of the sales too to put towards your own ministry (8% of every sale!).

The Good Book Company does all the hard work - we host the bookstall, look after payment and organize delivery to people's home addresses – so churches and ministries can focus on promoting the resources their locality needs. Suitable for churches, para-church organisations and conference organisers, we hope this new scheme will help you inspire others to read the kind of books that will help inspire and equip their walk with God.
