These inspiring stories of eleven faithful women show that God is the true source of their power, strength and purpose.
What makes you powerful?
The stories in Empowered are about faithful women, but even more about a steadfast God. By making a direct connection to their daily lives, readers will have a bigger and a more personal view of their Heavenly Father and His love for them.
The same God who was faithful to give Corrie ten Boom the love she needed to forgive her prison guard can help readewrs love the unlovable bullies at school. The love for Jesus that compelled Sophie Scholl to sacrifice her life for a higher cause can empower youngsters who see injustice in the world around them. In a culture where many young people see value in terms of Instagram likes and viral videos, the life of Pandita Ramabai will show the value of humble worship.
Empowered flips the popular idea of what it means to be strong on its head, showing that real power comes from our loving Father through His Son.

We are using this book of a young girls group (10-16yo). It has proven to be engaging and inspiring for the girls. Easy to read and follow, good discussion encouragement too.
An absolutely wonderful book. I have always struggled to find joy im reading, never finished a book other than gcse English: I read this book in less than 24 hours and can't wait to read it again along with other books by the author. Although it interested me because of my love of history it really got me thinking about my relationship with the Lord and how I show His presents in my life.
