Many Christians find it difficult to regularly read the Bible. It can be quite a task to find one's way around such a large, diverse and ancient collection of writings. Some of the books in the Bible are historical, some are poetic, some are prophetic, some take the form of letters. The big question is - how does it all fit together?
The best way to find the answer is to adopt a pattern of daily Bible study and prayer. Not only does this give the reader more knowledge of the Bible, but more importantly it offers a chance to listen and hear God speaking personally to them through His strongest medium - The Word.
Explore gives you the opportunity to delve into areas of the Bible that have perhaps eluded you for years: the laws of Leviticus; the wisdom of Proverbs; the meaninglessness of Ecclesiastes; the pain and suffering of Job; the terrifying apocalyptic imagery of Revelation. Explore shows how the Old and New Testaments are linked and how God's promises of salvation for his people are fulfilled in Jesus Christ. It also challenges the reader every day to be more like Him.

If you want reliable guides to lead you, with a light but faithful touch, as you work through and apply chunks of Scripture in your own life, there's no need to look any further than this wonderful series.
A trustworthy and convenient tool for helping people to dig into the Scriptures themselves.
Reliable, faithful and accessible. Fantastic for anyone who wants to get started in spending regular time in God's Word.
I have used Explore for a number of years and find it helps me understand difficult parts of the Bible and challenges me in my daily walk with God.
I was introduced to Explore by a missionary friend some years ago.
Its value is immeasurable in terms of Biblical teaching, especially as this is only rarely available at my church. (village parish ministry not known for this)
Since then I have phoned and asked for various publications of GBC. People answering have been unfailingly helpful and patient in finding the right item.
Most recently I phoned about a Christmas "workbook" for a neighbour's children, and to be sure there was no "invitation" in them as this is not a believing family. Someone on the phone checked the books for suitability, and just this morning the mother stopped me to say how much the children were enjoying the books, and sharing the puzzles with their parents
The good news is that a sound Biblical based church has recently come to my neighbouring town, to which I look forward to introducing this family in God's time.
In addition I have recently received Alistair Beggs' Advent book. It came promptly, is well produced and easy to handle , and I am finding the content thought producing and stimulating.
With no Bible bookshop locally, it is so helpful to have access to GBC's standard of reliable Christian supplies
My wife and I use Explore daily. We frequently have helpful discussions provoked by the Scriptures and the Explore comments. We are often challenged to consider our own attitudes and actions. Thank you for the time and effort that goes into preparing this helpful resource.

Explore offers a sound way of engaging with Scripture and knowing the richness of the character of our Father God as we read of his word and action in all history. I have found that very helpful and securing the older I get and have to deal with some tough situations in life and relationships.
