Mark starts his biography of Jesus with the startling claim that Jesus is the Son of God. What unfolds is a compelling account of a remarkable life that seems to back up that claim at every point. Mark asks us three big questions:
1. Who is Jesus
2. Why did he come?
3. What does he call us to do?
He tells us that our answers to those questions are, literally, a matter of life and death.
This NIV edition of The Gospel of Mark contains an introduction, conclusion and other aids to helping you understand the meaning and relevance of Jesus for you today.

This edition is perfect as a giveaway and useful to introduce (or reintroduce) people to the Bible and to Jesus. Great value and great service from GBC once again. Thank you
Such a lovely size book , great for adults and children .
These Mark's gospels are well designed, have a nice feel to them and are easy to navigate. They also have good summary sections . We use them both for our Christianity Explored courses and for a weekly school bible study in our local primary school. They are great in both contexts.
This little Gospel is great for slipping into your bag or pocket on a journey - either to read yourself or give away to someone you meet. Good size print and attractive cover make it handy to pass on and the simple, straightforward Gospel message is always new. Well worth the purchase.
The course Christianity explored is proving exellent for the group I am teaching. They love the videos and it's good to have their own book to use too.
Right now I am looking to buy some gospels for our outreach table. It would be so helpful to see inside, not just the cover - print, layout, any pictures etc. Thanks for your consideration of this.
We have found these Gospels great to use in our summer House to House Mission. We give them away on the doorsteps as the best way to introduce people to the person of Jesus Christ. The Christianity Explored format helps people discover more about Jesus through the helpful questions and website.
As a local church doing outreach in a particular area, we decided to use Gospel of Mark specifically in outreach as it means any connections we have with people can then easily lead to doing Christianity Explained with them. All of us involved use Mark as our handout Gospel material.
Mark is short and has pathos in it that carries the reader along, so we feel it is ideal for those who are unfamiliar with the scriptures.
The Gospel of Mark in this format is perfect to accompany the Christianity Explored course. It is well presented and a handy size. Readable font and good layout - with additional notes and map. Using it on the CE course, we can all be on the same page and have the same version. Good value for money. As one person said "I can put it in my handbag!"
I bought the Christianity Explored Leader's Guide, and The Gospel of Mark. These 2 books I used in conjunction with The Christianity Explored - One Life: What's it all about, Handbook (also available from The Good Book Company), and have found them to be invaluable as resource material to assist the public towards a commitment to our wonderful LORD!
I found these great to hand to friends as Christmas presents
