The child's component is a 'Backpacker's guidebook'.
Unit 12 for 8-11s looks at the subject of 'The Hope of the Nations' (from Genesis to Revelation).
The child's component for this unit is a 'Backpacker's guidebook'. The guidebook contains follow-up activities for each session and these activities help apply the truths learned in the session to real life situations.
This child's component accompanies the Click Unit 12: 8-11s Leaders Manual. There is also a Leader's Pack available.
CLICK is a Bible-based programme for teaching and discipling children from 3-11 years. The CLICK curriculum is based on the belief that the Bible’s own theological framework should direct what is taught and how it is taught. CLICK is Bible-based, teaching the major events, concepts and doctrines of the Bible. It’s also great fun!

The material is well organised and presented with some imaginative ideas. We try to work on a session over two weeks as we only have about 40 - 50 minutes each week and there is never enough time! Preparation is quite demanding for the teachers who are not teachers by profession. We have five different people who serve as Sunday School teachers for this group of children. Continuity is maintained by the repetiton of the 'Backpack' and its contents and the 'God's Plan' timeline plus the stories about Christian children around the World. We like the photocopiable material which is appreciated by the children who love to decorate it and take it home as a reminder of the lesson.
I have found this very, very good. The chapters are a bit long, but easy to brak into two parts without too much difficulty. I had a bit of a problem at first unerstanding what the "Ideas menu" was and found it a bit confusing, but after reading it several times I understood it better. I thinmk it's a great idea to get children to follw and answer from their Bibles, nd also to have a memory verse that spans a few weeks. I would love to have it in SPANISH as I am a missionary in Spain.
