Handbook containing everything a guest needs for Hope Explored, a three-session, video-based evangelistic course showing that Christianity offers real hope, peace and purpose.
There are few emotions more powerful than hope. But these days, hope often feels hard to come by. Where can we find a hope that won’t disappoint us?
Looking at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke’s Gospel, this three-session series from Christianity Explored Ministries shows that Christianity is about real hope: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about my present.
It sounds good… but is it true? Whatever people do or don’t believe, Hope Explored offers them an opportunity to explore, to discuss and to discover the hope, peace and purpose Jesus offers.
This easy-to-use guest Handbook contains everything a participant needs for Hope Explored.
With only three sessions, Hope Explored does not require a huge time commitment and is one of the easiest ways to discover more about Christianity. It can be run in person or on video-meeting technology, in small groups or one to one.
Leaders of this series will need a Leader's Handbook and the video sessions, which are available as downloads or on DVD.
The videos are presented by Rico Tice, Founder of Christianity Explored Ministries. They introduce the concepts for each session (Hope, Peace, Purpose) and deliver compelling Bible teaching from Luke’s Gospel. The ideas are then discussed as participants look at the Bible passage together.

Session 1: Hope
Christianity is about a hope worth having; Jesus came into our world
as the Mighty God and can deliver on his promises for the future.
Session 2: Peace
Our lack of peace in life is a symptom of our lack of peace with
God; Jesus’ death deals with our sin so he can offer us peace.
Session 3: Purpose
To find meaning in life, we need an answer to death—and that’s what Jesus’ resurrection gives us.
A very good course enjoyed by all in our Bible study group.
I loved this evangelistic resource. Works very well in conjunction with the films. The questions are pre-loaded and ready to go.
We did a test run with some church members and concluded that the issues of hope, peace and purpose would resonate with anyone particularly so in this current world environment (indeed there is nothing new under the sun). The sessions (with Rico Tice) do a good job of bringing in biblical truths to speak to these issues to show how these can be real and lasting and reaches into eternity. So participants will, prayerfully by God’s Spirit, begin to move from exploring these issues to seeing them fulfilled in Christ Jesu as the Bible informs and reveals to them in bible passages from Luke and Isaiah. The shorter 3-session course would make it easier for participants to commit to doing this. Any persons really interested to know more after doing Hope Explored can continue to be helped in their understanding of God’s Word with Christianity Explored or Life Explored or Two Ways To Live or any of the myriad “Investigating Christianity” materials or just reading the Bible 1 to 1 with them. Thanks be to God that His promises are always YES in Christ Jesus.
The Hope Explored material is excellent. It is not only a great resource for outreach but to stir our hearts as believers and rekindle our everlasting hope in Jesus. Highly recommended to run in small groups and as an outreach. As a three week course it is a great first step to introduce the good news of Jesus Christ to our neighbours.
The handbook is one of the key resources for running Hope Explored - the latest course from Christianity Explored Ministries. It is, of course, crucial for delivering the content and structure of the course. But it is also full of helpful supporting information. The course itself is excellent - a really helpful, well-designed first introduction to an interested non-Christian which can be run in just three sessions - so very helpful for people who won't commit to the longer offerings.
